Hi, my name is Carrie and I am a geckoholic.
It all started with the purchase of a leopard gecko for my daughter. While she was picking out her leopard gecko, I was falling in love with a crested gecko. I couldn't get over how soft he felt, his sticky feet, and frog jumps. My first crested came home with me that day. My husband thought I was crazy until he found out it was contagious. Before I knew it, he was bringing home a new crested gecko every chance he had. He even built custom cages to contain them all. You may already know or will soon discover you can never have just one. As my collection grew quickly, so did my thoughts of producing quality geckos and watching eggs hatch. In 2007, we began learning as much as we could and soon began breeding.
Our breeding goals are based on our favorite morphs: exteme harlequins with lots of contrast, yellow pinstripes, orange pinstripes, red harlequins, and mocha tigers. Head structure and crest size is very important to us however we try to find a balance with color and pattern.
I have also begun collecting leachies. I currently have 7 leachies and 2 on hold with a breeder (anxiously awaiting for them to hatch). I will begin breeding some of them in 2011. My husband has a trio of uroplatus henkeli's that have begun producing eggs this year (2010).
I'm still in love with these guys as much as the first day I brought one home.
